The Music Theory in Practice series has helped more than one million musicians worldwide to learn about the notation and theory of music.
Now fully revised, this workbook remains the best way to prepare for ABRSM's Grade 4 Theory of Music Exam, offering:
• a clear explanation of music notation • straightforward language throughout • many worked examples and practice exercises • definitions of important words and concepts • specimen exam questions • helpful tips for students
As well as supporting the ABRSM theory syllabus, this workbook also provides an excellent resource for anyone wishing to develop general music literacy skills.
"No problem with the book itself but I cannot believe that a self-study book, such as this, does not include the answers. To get the answers you appear to have to buy another book - why? This is simply financially discriminating against those who don't have access to musically trained support. I can understand that a full explanation of the answers may require detailed explanation, but a book that doesn't include the ability to detect which topics you are good/bad at something without additional spend is flawed - it wouldn't happen with a maths self-study book (which similarly has right/wrong answers)...."
