"I am sorry to give such a low rating, because the content of the book is really good, but where does it say that this is a pocket sized item! In the illustrations, it looks like all the other music theory/grade books, which are around A4 in size. such a small book may be handy for pockets etc., but is useless at a desk when you are looking at other books and writing etc., as it doesn't stay open. Really disappointed."

"This is an excellent little book. I was searching for a replacement to 'Rudiments and theory of music' and this is perfect. It is clearly laid out with headings and simple explanations for the basic theory required for each grade. I will be recommending it to my music students."
