The ABRSM Songbook
The series, compiled by Ross Campbell, Robert Forbes and Lilija Zoben, features over 100 art songs, drawn from Grades 1 to 5 of the ABRSM Singing syllabus, many newly edited for these books. Numerous folksongs, either in new arrangements by Carol Barratt or their classic versions, and a rich collection of authentic unaccompanied traditional songs from around the world complete the series.
English translations for every non-English-language song are included together with background information and performance suggestions.
Each volume also comes with a CD of piano accompaniments to all the art songs as well as recordings of the text to every song, performed by native speakers. Books 1 to 5 relate to ABRSM Grades 1 to 5 respectively.
