Principal Percussion 2020

Principal Percussion is an exciting collection of nine contemporary works for more advanced percussion players. Covering Grades 6–8, it features specially commissioned works by renowned percussion composers in an array of styles – from Nick Woud’s gripping Variations and Jill Jarman’s swinging New Orleans Sunrise to the wonderfully playful Mucho Gusto by Chris Baron. Spanning solos and accompanied pieces for snare drum, timpani and tuned percussion, this is the ideal companion for exploring new repertoire in practice, concerts or exams.
All pieces are included in the Percussion 2020 syllabus at Grades 6–8.
